This notice explains how Verdance Gardens collects and uses personal information when you contact us, request a quotation or become a customer.
Who we are
Verdance Gardens is being established as a UK partnership and is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at enquiries@verdancegardens.com or on 07735 480628.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, postcode, preferred contact method and availability, information about your garden and the work requested, photographs you choose to upload, correspondence, quotations, appointment details and records relating to work we carry out.
Our hosting provider may also process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as request and security logs. We do not use the website to collect payment-card details or special-category personal data.
How and why we use it
We use your information to respond to enquiries, assess requested work, arrange visits, prepare quotations, provide garden services, communicate with you, keep appropriate business records and protect our website and business.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, improving and protecting our business and handling enquiries. We do not use quote-form information for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.
Who receives your information
We share information only where needed with service providers supporting our website, secure storage and business email, including Cloudflare, Google Workspace and Resend; with professional advisers where necessary; or with public authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process information outside the UK; where this happens, we rely on the safeguards required by data-protection law.
How long we keep it
We normally keep unsuccessful or inactive enquiries and any associated photographs for up to 24 months after our last contact. Customer, contractual and accounting records may be kept for up to six years after the relevant transaction or relationship ends where needed for legal, tax or business-record purposes. We may keep information for longer where a dispute or legal requirement makes this necessary, and delete it sooner where it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Contact us using the details above to exercise a right or raise a concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version will always appear on this page with its revision date.
